Our monthly Young Artists Classes give children the opportunity to explore a wide range of artistic techniques and materials while building their confidence and creativity.
Each month focuses on a different creative theme, introducing young artists to new mediums and approaches - from painting and mixed media to sculpture, textiles, and other exciting ways of making.
These classes are designed to complement The Art Hour, giving children the chance to broaden their skills, experiment with different styles, and discover the types of art they enjoy most.

The Art Hour
Building strong drawing skills and creative confidence
The Art Hour is a weekly, drawing-focused class designed to help children develop solid artistic foundations in a calm, supportive environment.
Perfect for both beginners and more experienced young artists, these sessions focus on learning how to see and draw with accuracy, while still encouraging creativity and personal style.
Rather than just completing a project, students are guided through techniques step by step, helping them understand how drawing works and giving them the confidence to apply these skills independently.
Course Details
Day & Time: Fridays, 4:30–5:30pm
Price: £60 per 6-week block
Discounts: Available for siblings and full-year bookings
Sessions run in six-week blocks and can be taken continuously to build skills over time.
What We’ll Focus On
Across each block, students will develop key drawing skills, including:
- Observational drawing and learning to see shapes and proportions
- Shading techniques to create depth and form
- Line work, detail, and control
- Exploring different subjects and styles
Each session is carefully structured to balance skill-building with creative expression, so children feel both challenged and encouraged.
A Strong Artistic Foundation
Drawing is the foundation of all visual art. By building these core skills early, children gain the confidence to explore other mediums such as painting, mixed media, and more.
For those attending regularly, The Art Hour also supports progression within the studio’s wider creative journey, including opportunities to develop a portfolio of work and the Artistry Guild levels.

Creative Writing
Helping young writers turn ideas into stories with confidence
Across each six-week block, students will learn how writing really works. Rather than simply being given prompts, they will explore techniques used by skilled authors through carefully selected extracts from real literature, and apply these to their own writing.
This structured approach helps children develop both creativity and confidence, giving them the tools to express their ideas clearly and effectively.
Course Details
Day & Time: Fridays, 5:45–6:45pm
Price: £45 per 6-week block
Discounts: Available for siblings and full-year bookings
Each block is designed to work as a stand-alone experience, while also forming part of a wider, progressive programme for those who choose to continue across the year. For students who continue across multiple blocks, the course builds into a comprehensive writing journey. Over time, they will develop their skills across a range of techniques and styles, working towards a meaningful end goal:
A published anthology of their own work.
